…the passing of Phoebe Snow
Phoebe Snow passed away yesterday. She was my friend and neighbor in New Jersey. We shared so much of the same interests, views on life, and musical tastes. Her voice just dripped with soul. When she asked me to duet with her, I didn’t hesitate for a moment. The song we decided on, was Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds”. I’ll never forget some of our all night sessions at a local restaurant trying our best to solve the worlds problems. She had a great sense of humor. I can remember several years ago having a chance encounter with Phoebe at a park in upstate New York. When she asked me why I came up there, I told her “I love nature”. When I asked her why she came, she said “I love the peace”. Rest in peace Phoebe. Te adoro.
